Class Wiki

A few weeks ago the class made a class wiki, we each got given a sub heading about social software to write 200 words about, we then went and wrote the 200 words. After this we had to add it onto the class wiki. Here is a link to the wiki so that you can have a look

Snow !!!

I really don't understand why so many people get excited about snow. Seriously, yes it looks pretty, but you can't walk in it properly, you can't drive in it properly, you can't use public transport properly, you can't go to college and learn AT ALL!!! so in conclusion the snow is just a massive pain in the butt. Yet everybody seems to love it.

I'm actually getting really worried about passing this course now, its been over a week since I've been to college, not only is it bad for my course but because the college has been closed I haven't seen some of my closest friends and have had to revert to phone calls. Which just isn't enough.

I'm sick of being bored at home and while college isn't always fun it's something to do. So please snow, go away, come back for one day on Christmas day and then don't come back for a year !!! actually don't come back on Christmas day coz I have places to be!

Myspace :(:(:(:(:(

Okay, so on the word document that is on the H drive it says that i have to review Myspace.
Although I haven't got a myspace account (and have no intention in getting one) I've had one in the past.
To be honest I used to love my Myspace account, when the site was actually a social networking site. Now it is just a place for people to advertise things such as photography and musicand there is really no place for people like me with no talent anymore.


Which is why I no longer have a mysoace account and have moved over to facebook for my socail networking :)

Twitter, internet rules and the likes

I leanrt quite a lot in lesson today, some of the interent rules i'd never actually thought about before and while they  are all quite simple its good to know them

As for twitter i've never used it before but now that i know what its like i'll probably use it more often

Gaia Online.

Compaired to other social networking sites such as Facebook or bebo, gaia online is quite disappointing. While the concept of the site is very good because it mixes a game with social networking, the site is not actually monitored that well towards things like pervertion and the giving out of email addresses.

generally people can be quite nasty if you ask them a question on there as well and you tend to get called a "Newb"

Three things I want to learn from Social Software

I guess it's really important for me to keep in contact with my family because they live so far away so I'd really like to learn to use skype so that I can phonethem for nothing and keep in touc hthat way although I have never used skype I know my little sisters use it all the time.

I'd like to keep in touch with friends and family over facebook as well. It's a really easy way to get in contact and to find people that you havent seen in years.


I want to leanr how to use gaia online :)
